报告题目：A Sampler of Applied Statistics

摘要：In this talk, I will give some examples of application of statistics, based on my own research experience. They will be selected from business demand forecasting, morphology analysis of nano particles, understanding population dynamics of cotton aphids, analyzing complex intracellular Calcium ion signals, solving the MEG inverse problem, and computing with large spatial dataset. For each project, I will tell a little story behind it, describe how I get involved in the project, and then show basic ideas of my solution approach. However, technical details of the solutions won't be discussed during the talk. I hope to use these examples to give the audience a glimpse into the richness of statistical sciences.
