摘要：I will introduce the nearly Kaehler strucutre on $S^3 \times S^3$. With respect to this strucutre there are two natural classes of submanifolds, namely almost complex submanifolds and totally real submanifolds. Almost complex submanifolds are those for which $J$ preserves the tangent space. In $S^3 \times S^3$almost complex submanifolds have to be two dimensional.We study in a systematic way both classes of immersions.
