摘要: In these lectures, I will explain (i) first Chern class, (ii) Calabi -Yau geometry and (iii) mirror symmetry. The first Chern class of a complex manifold M measures the topology of its canonical line bundle. When M is Kahler with its first Chern class vanishes, Yau's theorem said that it admits a Ricci flat metric, namely M is a Calabi-Yau manifold. There are two different types of geometries on any Calabi-Yau manifold, namely symplectic geometry and complex geometry. Mirror symmetry, originated from string theory, predicts that these two different types of geometries got interchanged between any mirror pair of Calabi-Yau manifolds. Strominger-Yau-Zaslow proposed that this mystery duality is a geometric form of a Fourier type transformation along special Lagrangian fibrations.
